Questions people ask

Ecliptica FAQ

What does Ecliptica calculate?

Ecliptica casts natal charts, calculates current transits against saved profiles, and compares two charts through a full inter-chart aspect grid.

Does Ecliptica need an internet connection?

No. The ephemeris, birthplace catalog, chart calculations, transit work, and synastry comparisons are all available on the device.

Where is my birth information stored?

On your iPhone. Ecliptica has no account or cloud backend receiving profiles, charts, or readings.

Are the readings predictive?

No. Ecliptica presents chart geometry and reflective, non-predictive interpretations without claiming certainty about future events.

How do encrypted backups work?

You choose a passphrase when creating a backup. The exported information is encrypted before it leaves the app and requires that passphrase to restore.
